All products have mitred joints which mimimise cross grain exposure to the elements. Facia wood is hand selected and hand finished. Fat leaf Planters are truly solid and look great!!

All our products are "over engineered" so that they last and last. every individual joint is anchored with a minimum of four galvanised staples and four treated screws. every screw benefits from a pilot hole (most of our competitors use nail guns which vastly increased the risk of splitting in manufacture and over time).

And finally, price. Like-for-like, we offer the best value planters in UK. Compare us with our competitors and you'll see an obvious gulf in quality and in most cases, our products will work out cheaper.

What is Tanalised Pine?

Tanalised pine is the most commonly used timber in our industry. It is imported from scandinavia and kiln dried and then pressure treated in the UK and is guaranteed against rot for a minimum of 5 years. 80% of all wooden garden products are made from tanalised pine.

Grow Your own

Fat Leaf have a range of planters that are ideal for growing your own produce. In this section you will find large Vegetable Planters, Salad Planters, Herb Wheels and Grow Bag Planters.

Of course this list is not exclusive to growing produce, but we have found from customer feedback that these products are primarily bought in order to grow produce.

In addition to this range our customers have also found that the spiral range is excellent for herbs and that our large (and extra large, and Mega!) squares and hexagons are also well suited to growing your own produce.

Trough Planters

Fa Leaf Trough Planters are superb for edging a lawns, patios or driveways. They are the right depth (12 inches) for a standard plastic pot, so most people just put a few pots in them instead of actually planting the planter. A great tip if you are putting pots in - cover the top with a layer of bark.
